South Hills Church Community, a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance, has a mission “to reach people far from God and help them to become committed followers of Christ.” Strategically situated in a highly visible area at a major exit on I-215, South Hills is located in Henderson, Nevada — a vibrant and growing suburban community in the greater Las Vegas area. With a solid member base from our 17-year history, a rich mission field in our community, and a campus situated for growth, we are looking for a Lead Pastor who senses the call of God to lead this church into its next season of growth and spiritual maturing, while increasing its local and global outreach.

The person God is preparing for this role will be a visionary and collaborative team-builder who, as a shepherd, will help church members grow in their relationships with God and reach the unchurched in our community. The successful candidate will be a skilled and personable preacher with strong biblical knowledge, who can inspire and equip church members to share the Gospel both locally and globally.

The right leader will ideally possess the following traits, experience, and qualifications:

• A strong, intimate relationship with Christ and a high level of personal integrity, guided by a deep commitment to living a life of thankful service to God


• At least five years of experience as a lead, associate, or campus pastor with regular teaching responsibilities and experience leading a staff of at least 5


• A degree in Theology, Ministry, or relevant discipline (Bachelor’s required; Master’s or higher preferred)


• Demonstrated ability and passion to equip and challenge both church members and staff


• Evidence of strategic ministry growth


• A track record of community involvement, including collaboration with local church and parachurch organizations


• A relational and skilled interpersonal communicator


• Licensed and ordained (or willing to become licensed and ordained) by the Christian & Missionary Alliance
