Job Title: English as a Foreign Language Teacher

Location: US

Hours: Part-time. Teaching window is 6-10 a.m. EST (more hours on weekends).

Pay: $11-15 USD/hour (based on experience) as a contract employee 

Overview

As a tutor, you will deliver English as a foreign language lessons to groups of up to four students 4-18 years of age.  All students are based in China. You will guide and support students to develop and fulfill their academic potential using high energy and engaging teaching methods to encourage participation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver instructional activities (curriculum provided) that facilitate active learning in a one on one setting


• Observe and evaluate student's performance and development (minimal assessment and grading required)


• Use technology to support instruction


• Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students


• Participate in training and meetings, as required

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree (required)


• Experience teaching or working with children (required)


• TESL, TESOL, TEFL, CELTA or equivalent (required)

• You are an early bird, happy to work early morning hours (6-10 a.m. EST)
