Our Hamilton office has an immediate opening for a full-time Specialist, Talent Acquisition.
Reporting to Senior HR Specialist, Manager, HR, Principal, HR, you will be responsible for:
- Leading and managing full-cycle recruitment, including drafting job postings, identifying, and sourcing qualified candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews (both in-person and virtual), completing reference and background checks, and extending job offers.
- Leading and executing the Firm’s campus recruitment strategy, aligning efforts with overall business needs and growth plans.
- Designing, implementing, and evolving a recruitment strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals, and actively sharing strategic updates with appropriate individuals.
- Enhancing the Firm’s employer brand by partnering with Marketing for the strategic use of social media and other marketing tools, creating engaging content and actively participating in branding initiatives.
- Building and maintaining a pipeline of both active and passive candidates, working collaboratively with key internal individuals and external partners to ensure a flow of talent.
- Cultivating and managing relationships with Managers, Partners, and other senior leaders across the Firm, as well as with external networks, agencies, and other third-party resources.
- Organizing and attending campus recruitment events, actively representing the Firm and cultivating long-term relationships with potential candidates.
- Advising and supporting internal HR initiatives beyond recruitment, and taking on responsibilities such as onboarding, implementing, and maintaining the recruitment portion of the HCM, and delivering recruitment and interview training.
The successful candidate will have:
- 3-5 years’ progressive experience as a corporate recruiter and/or with an external recruitment agency
- Proven experience in cold-calling, online sourcing, campus/recruitment event participation, along with strong screening and interviewing skills
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive business relationships and work closely and collaboratively with all levels of staff and management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Solid administrative, organizational and computer skills
- Well-developed critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with recruitment processes and platforms
- Strong capability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- A post-secondary degree/diploma in HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- Experience running an end-to-end recruitment process with proven sourcing and advisory capabilities
