Note: This role is required full-time in the office, Monday to Friday.
In this role you will be responsible for the following:
- RF Path analysis in the various two-way radio, cellular, and microwave technologies
- Programming/testing of two-way radios and repeater systems, including tuning of filters
- Research/testing of new product and service offerings
- After-hours On call availability to provide product technical support to DataDrill Field Support Staff
- Provide Support to clients, and assist in the sale of products/services
- Troubleshooting and repairing of two-way radio and cell repeater equipment.
- Distance to fault testing of coax cables
- Occasional Field visits (which may include working at heights) to repair/install/remove equipment at client locations.
- Building/Testing/Troubleshooting of DataDrill proprietary equipment/kits.
- Maintenance/cleaning of rental equipment.
- Documentation for products, processes, client jobs.
- Assist in inventory management within the department including preventative maintenance
On your resume, we ask that you highlight the following qualifications:
- Electronic Engineering Technologist Diploma or equivalent education/experience
- Relevant Work Experience 1 – 5 years
- Strong understanding of Cellular repeater systems, including antenna propagation
- Working knowledge of two-way radios and repeater systems (including IP based systems)
- Basic working knowledge of microwave radio products
- Basic working knowledge of Fiber Based Cellular DAS systems
- Competent with the use of various testing equipment (Communications Monitors, Spectrum Analyzers, DVM, Oscilloscope)
- Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot
- Small circuit design and PCB layout experience an asset
