Foreman Electrician
Dynamic Energy Services is a leading provider of LED Lighting and Lighting Controls upgrades and is currently seeking for a new qualified Foreman Electrician to help us grow our installation team. This role is a net new vacancy.
As part of our Ontario Project Team, the successful candidates will travel to various project sites in the province of Ontario, focusing on the GTHA area. Some overnight project travel may be required. Specific work hours will vary depending on site schedules. These positions provide full-time work with overtime, and the salary is commensurate with the level of experience (range of $42.00 to $45.00 per hour).
The successful candidate will be the lead hand of lighting retrofit installation projects and will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and to the project specifications.
Main Responsibilities:
- Must be able to supervise, motivate, and inspire the installation team to complete tasks safely, efficiently, and with a high level of quality
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and the installation team
- Complete daily progress reports on material inventories and worksite conditions
- Effectively communicate with ESA inspectors to ensure work is completed to code
- Become familiar with and enforce the Company safety program
- Install new luminaires
- Convert existing fixtures to more efficient LED light sources
- Install and assist in the programming of advanced lighting Control Systems
- Complete associated wiring and panel upgrades in existing buildings
- Troubleshoot electrical problems in the field and determine safe and efficient solutions
- Other duties as required
Role Requirements:
- Experienced Electrician (309A Preferred) with a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a Foreman Electrician role
- Provide a clean Police Clearance and Fingerprinting (Criminal Record Check) and Security Clearance (Reliability Status)
- Clean and valid G Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to and from work
- Proven experience in a leadership/supervisory role
- Ability to follow detailed written instructions and electrical drawings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail, thorough and clean work habits
- Physically able to work on overhead tasks, including lifting fixtures (must be able to lift 50 lbs.)
- Ability to work at heights safely and confidently (Working at Heights course and certification is considered an asset)
The Foreman Electricians will need to provide all personal hand tools, tool pouch and basic Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety footwear (approved safety boots or equivalent approved footwear), safety glasses and gloves.
Dynamic Energy will provide any additional PPE, including hardhats, harnesses, safety vests and other PPE to meet safety requirements for specific projects or tasks.
