About You
You’re a detail-oriented Senior Accountant with a strong background in managing general ledger entries, payroll reconciliations, and applying payments to open invoices. You are skilled at ensuring accurate financial reporting, particularly in the areas of payroll-related accounts and reconciling 941 filings. Your experience includes supporting monthly financial close activities and maintaining the integrity of financial records.
Responsibilities
- Post payroll entries to the General Ledger (GL) and ensure timely and accurate reconciliation of payroll-related accounts, including the payroll balance sheet.
- Reconcile 941 filings and ensure compliance with payroll tax regulations.
- Ensure compliance with State Nexus related tax regulations.
- Reconcile intercompany transactions and prepare eliminating entries to ensure accurate consolidated financial reporting.
- Perform bank reconciliations for various accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Apply payments to open invoices and ensure accurate posting to the accounts receivable ledger.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Collaborate with the Payroll team to ensure accurate data posting and reconciliation of payroll transactions.
- Prepare audit-ready schedules for payroll accounts and assist with audits as needed.
- Analyze financial data, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to resolve issues.
- Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives within the Finance team.
- Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support for special projects as assigned by the Accounting Manager.
Qualifying for this role means you have a BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and proven experience as a accountant for 3-5 years, focusing on general ledger management and payroll reconciliations. You have experience in applying payments to open invoices and managing accounts receivable processes, and are familiar with payroll procedures, including 941 reconciliations. You bring strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online and Bill.com, as well as advanced Excel skills. Your in-depth understanding of GAAP principles and payroll tax regulations ensures compliance, while your excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities help you navigate complex challenges. You pay close attention to detail and can manage multiple tasks efficiently. You are able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You have strong written and verbal communication skills which allow you to present financial information clearly and effectively.

Working at Global Impact
Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States for more than one year. Visa sponsorship is not available. This is a full-time position with the potential to be fully remote – must be able to work majority of hours in the eastern or central time zone.

The salary range is $85,000 - $95,000, depending on the experience you bring. On top of the competitive salary that we are offering, you’ll receive 16 paid holidays and 25 paid days off.
