ICI Project Manager

DeFaveri Construction is a Sanitary, Storm Sewer, Watermain, and Grading General Contractor (Division 2) looking to fill a Project Manager position with a strong background in ICI works.
The ICI Project Manager will work in person out of our Stoney Creek office location, Monday to Friday. The ICI Project Manager will coordinate and plan daily tasks with the site foremen under their supervision to ensure all activities are being completed safely and efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Review site servicing/grading drawings and scope with DeFaveri Group Project Managers
- Review and approve supplier shop drawings
- Negotiate contracts with various suppliers and sub-trades daily
- Monitor all crew work status on site to ensure work is completed in a timely manner
- Work with the DeFaveri Group Project Manager(s) to gain an understanding of the project estimate and identify opportunities to ensure profitability on the project
- Prepare and maintain a daily diary/logbook
- Review and approve site foremen time sheets’ daily
- Prepare monthly progress certificates and Extra Work Orders with DeFaveri Group Project Manager(s) for internal billing
- Provide guidance and coaching to Construction Foremen to support them in giving clear work direction to complete the project scope while working alongside building trades and site constraints
- Attend project status meetings on-site with clients, stakeholders and engineers as needed and in a professional manner
- Communicate any safety concerns with the company Safety Officer to ensure COR practices and procedures are followed on a daily basis
- Other related duties as assigned
What You Will Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in the Civil Site Servicing Industry
- Experience with managing ICI project scopes with General Contractors
- A post-secondary education in Civil Engineering or related equivalent is an asset
- Knowledge of OTM Book 7 and Traffic Control Plans
- Valid G-Class Drivers License
- Ability to read and understand all aspects of construction drawings and specifications
- Strong abilities within Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
- The ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with internal and external parties
- An investigative approach to your work, an adaptable attitude, and excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills
- Must be willing to work in the office or on-site, as required
