As an HR Manager at DJB, you'll play a critical role in fostering a positive work environment, supporting our strategic goals, and driving employee development. We’re looking for an HR professional who thrives in building relationships, executing HR initiatives, and leading growth and performance across the Firm.
Job Title: Manager, Human Resources
Employment Type: Contract
Location: Burlington Office (travel to other office locations required regularly)
Reports to: Director, Human Resources
Contract Duration: 16 months
Key Responsibilities:
Advises employees and leaders on workplace issues, facilitating conflict resolution and addressing concerns to maintain a positive culture
- Partners directly with leaders to guide employee relations strategies, providing support in difficult conversations and policy application to ensure fair and effective outcomes
- Promotes the Firm’s coaching culture by guiding leaders and employees in integrating coaching principles into daily interactions
- Implements HR initiatives across all offices, ensuring alignment with the Firm’s strategic goals
- Equips employees and leaders with tools for effective performance management and professional growth initiatives
- Champions career advancement and maintains a high-performance culture that provides clear developmental pathways
- Ensures that the Firm adheres to labour laws and regulations, maintaining policies that uphold legal and ethical standards are in line with Firm values
- Supports efforts in learning and development to bolster employee development and enhance organizational performance
- Handles HR administrative tasks diligently, guaranteeing that processes are efficiently executed across all offices
- Performs additional duties as necessary to support the evolving needs of the Firm
The successful candidate will be a graduate of a University of College Program in Human Resources Management or a related field, and will have:
- A CHRP/CHRL designation
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a progressive HR role
- Experience in a professional services environment
- The proven ability to manage multiple HR functions and lead projects from inception to completion
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Human Capital Management (HCM) systems
- An in-depth working knowledge of HR legislation and best practices
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the Firm
- The ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality
