Sales Estimator

We are currently looking for an estimator to join our sales team as we expand our capabilities and pursue new opportunities.

JOB SUMMARY

The successful applicant will be part of the estimating team and will initially be responsible for pricing a large percentage of general tender jobs. With experience the individual will work towards pricing multi-storey total precast proposals.  Background training will include time in drafting as well as on production/installation crews. This is an entry level position with opportunities for advancement into various other positions as experience is gained.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assist in acquiring drawings and information from customers (email, file sharing sites and in person)
• Perform material takeoffs, calculate installation/production costs and assemble final quotations
• Be familiar with all of Stubbe’s products and promote applications and benefits
• Identify potential areas of concern and provide alternative solutions
• Trouble shoot customer needs via phone calls, emails and site visits
• Visit customer’s offices and sites when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS

• Technical Diploma or Degree in Architectural or Civil Construction Field
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical)
• Strong computer and computer software skills (Excel, Word, Bluebeam, AutoCAD)
• Excellent verbal and written communication (email, phone and in person)
• Exceptional time management skills (firm closing dates and multiple jobs closings)
