Acoustics Engineeer (Intermediate)
When you go to a show, you hear more than words and music. You hear how the shape of the room, the finishes of the space, and how quiet the space is to create an experience. You hear the hum of the lights and the foot falls on the stage.
You’re a talented acoustics engineer, looking for flexibility, challenging work, and a culture that pushes you to be your best.
We’re Aercoustics Engineering Ltd., and this is where you belong.
We’re an award-winning, national leader in consulting engineering services in the field of acoustics, noise and vibration. We work on varied and challenging projects, from noise reduction in transit systems, to world-class performance spaces for the Royal Conservatory, to the research and development of tools that are changing our industry.
Now we’re looking for an experienced acoustics engineer who can hit the ground running. We’re hoping our search ends with you.
Acoustics Engineer
Your primary goal in this role will be to manage projects for our architectural clients.
You’ll work with architects and property owners, offering expert advice and recommendations to meet the acoustic targets. You’ll review the work of other engineers, and figure out how to achieve acoustic goals while considering the full context of the architect’s needs. Your attention to detail and agile learning style will help you win the architect’s trust and handle new situations.
You’ll teach the architects and owners what they need to know about acoustics, empowering them to make informed decisions. Your superior communication skills will translate to productive relationships and positive results.
Most of your time will be in the office, preparing models and calculations, reviewing drawings, writing reports, and corresponding with clients. Sometimes you’ll be visiting sites for client meetings, walkthroughs, and to take measurements.
There’s a lot of variety in this work, and every new project will present new challenges. There may be twenty solutions to the same problem, so we encourage our people to think creatively and use their professional judgement. The work is engaging and fresh every day.
