What You Will Do With Us
As the Information Software business Development Manager based in Calgary,AB, you will be responsible for collaborating with the Distributor Sales and Product Specialist organization and all levels of customers to sell and exceed annual sales growth goals for Rockwell Automation’s Information Software and adjacent partner software offerings.
How You Will Thrive With Us
- Develops and maintains software portfolio, vendor partnerships and delivery partners.
- Ability to articulate the value of the Distributor’s overall offering in the context of our Customer’s desired business outcomes and provides ongoing support to Distributor sales in creating opportunities and closing orders
- Engage distributors to develop specialist and sales team competency, ensures awareness and appropriate knowledge of new and existing software offerings
- Works within assigned geography to develop and execute a business and commercial plan through use of a disciplined selling process, focusing on impactful opportunities
- Responsible for identifying target accounts, working in collaboration with the sales team to qualify and close software opportunities
- Creates and executes strategies for attaching software to hardware sales
- Develop a core group of partner System Integrators to sell IS with. These partners do not necessarily need to be in the local APR
- Be Accountable for the overall Operation & Maintenance Software offering. For the Core offering (Historian, View, AssetCentre) will rely on the support of the Automation specialist. For the IoT, Analytics, AR, CMMS, and other XaaS products, will own the offering both commercially and technically
Skills And Requirements:
- 4-year degree or equivalent professional experience in technical disciplines is required.
- Outcome-based selling experience with understanding of industrial business drivers.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering OR equivalent combination of skills, experience or education.
- Years of experience /knowledge applying RA’s products or equivalent competitive software solutions.
- Deep technical focus in Information Software portfolio .
- Good technical writing & presentation skills with ability to present topics to mid / large size groups of customers (external and internal).
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal communications, organizational and written/verbal communication skills, including speaking in front of small and large groups.
- Deep market/competitor knowledge.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and be self -motivated.
- Inspire, influence, lead and communicate across a diverse team not under direct management .
- Regularly overcome objections.
- Able to face new challenges from the field to creatively help customers solve their application needs.
- Ability to speak with customers, demonstrating technical expertise while instilling confidence and credibility.
- Partnering mindset. Work hand in hand Delivery partners in a trusting and collaborative environment while pursuing opportunities.
- Plan and deliver on accelerated business growth over time.
- Annual growth planning and execution including targets, competency, investments.
- Lead APR focus and performance around overall Information Software business.
- Serve as domain expert around Services business and continuously build competency.
