Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Divisional Vendor Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for administering our west divisions vendor programs , ensuring efficient inventory management, and driving profitable sales growth through strategic marketing initiatives. Your expertise in electrical products, knowledge of commercial and industrial markets, and experience in inventory optimization will be crucial in this role.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

Electrical Product Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of electrical products, their applications, and industry trends. Stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical technology and market demands. -
Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors. Collaborate with vendors to identify growth opportunities and develop mutually beneficial initiatives. -
Inventory Optimization: Analyze inventory levels, turnover rates, and product demand to optimize inventory management. Implement strategies to minimize stockouts, reduce excess inventory, and improve overall inventory efficiency. -
Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop product-specific campaigns aimed at driving sales growth. Collaborate on the creation of marketing materials, promotions, and sales incentives to effectively communicate product value propositions. -
Branch and Sales Support: Collaborate with branch managers and sales teams to implement marketing campaigns and drive product sales. Provide training and support to ensure effective product knowledge and sales techniques. -
Analytical Skills: Utilize analytical tools and techniques to review inventory dollars and turns, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of inventory management strategies. -
Planogram Development: Work with branch managers to develop planograms that optimize product placement and enhance the customer experience. Ensure planograms align with marketing campaigns and sales objectives. -
Growth Initiatives: Engage with vendors to identify and execute mutual growth initiatives. Collaborate on joint marketing efforts, product launches, and promotional activities to expand market share and drive revenue growth. -
Administrative Ownership: Work closely with cross functional departments to find efficiencies and ensure rapid response to the administrative needs of the business.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in vendor management, preferably in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Solid understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
