Now in its 158th year, the Annual Spring Meeting (ASM) is the signature event of the Ontario Dental Association (ODA).
If you’re interested in an opportunity to work at one of the longest running and most respected dental conventions in North America, we have a job for you.
We’re looking for Temporary Event Staff who possess strong organizational skills and excellent communication abilities. Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing between 25lbs and 45lbs. Comfortable performing physical activities such as bending, kneeling and maintaining mobility throughout the day (walking or running as required). Responsible for recording and maintaining information on the sheets provided, ensuring all data is accurate and complete. Providing support for various tasks and responsibilities as required.
More specifically, you will:
- Engage with members during the show.
- Attend a mandatory orientation session.
- Report on-site early in the morning (exact time to be confirmed).
- Check in at the designated show office upon arrival.
- Complete check-in and attendance tracking.
- Execute assigned responsibilities throughout the day.
- At the end of the day, sign out and conclude your work shift.
Qualifications:
Interested candidates should:
- Genuinely enjoy interacting with people.
- Possess an engaging and enthusiastic demeanour and the ability to communicate effectively under pressure.
- Have completed a high school diploma.
Working at the ASM:
This is a temporary position and is ideally suited for those open to flexible work arrangements, Hours worked will be between 4 to 7 hours each day depending on the role and tasks assigned. Not all positions hired will be required to work all three show days as the exhibits floor (CE Scanning stations) will be closed on Saturday.
The Annual Spring Meeting takes place from May 8 – 10, 2025 and is held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (222 Bremner Blvd).
Successful applicants will be contacted by March 18, 2025. You must attend a mandatory orientation/training session on either May 6 or 7, 2025 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre – South Building from 12:00pm to 4:00pm OR from 11:00am – 3:00pm respectively. You will be paid for 4 hours for attending this orientation/training session.
Before submitting your application, please ensure that you have reviewed your exam schedule and are available to attend the orientation/training session on either May 6 or 7 (time to be determined) and be able to work on May 8, 9 and 10, 2025.
