Complaints Investigator– Part-Time, Permanent
College of Pharmacists of Manitoba, Winnipeg
The College of Pharmacists of Manitoba seeks a dynamic individual to work with the Complaints and Discipline team as a Complaints Investigator. This is a 0.70 FTE permanent position to supplement the current 1.00 FTE permanent staffing.
About the Position
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and progressive with excellent communication, interpersonal, and investigative skills. The individual will be able to work independently in a self-directed environment and also have the ability to collaborate effectively with other staff.
Assets include a working knowledge of health-professions legislation, including the Pharmaceutical Act of Manitoba and supporting Pharmaceutical regulations, administrative, organizational, and time management skills, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Qualifications

Post-secondary degree in pharmacy, law, or other regulated health profession, or a background in law enforcement and investigation

Knowledge of administrative law and regulation of self-governing professionals

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated discretion and tact in observing privacy and confidentiality policies
Assets
-
Experience working in a regulatory environment, interpreting, and applying legislation

Knowledge of pharmacy-related legislation, standards of practice, and ability to interpret and apply knowledge

National Certified Investigator and Inspector Training (NCIT), as offered by the Council on Licensure, Enforcement and Regulation (CLEAR)

Conditions of Employment

This is a 0.70 FTE permanent position, based on a 37.5-hour work week (26 hours per week)

The weekly work schedule is flexible, as mutually agreed upon with the employer.

The work model includes a mix of remote and onsite work; onsite is required initially to effectively accomplish training and collaboration

Ability to work remotely and communicate and collaborate using various software platforms (i.e.: Zoom Meetings, Webinar, Microsoft Office 365)

Valid driver’s licence

Must have access to the vehicle for independent transportation within Manitoba

Satisfactory criminal record check
