What you will do with us:
The Divisional Pricing Manager will be part of the Westburne Midwest management team located on Notre Dame avenue, Winnipeg. Reporting to the General Manager, they will be responsible for creating and implementing improvement initiatives specifically related to the division's pricing and margin mandates, as well as implementing national pricing programs. They will be part of the national pricing team for Canada and will be involved in creating and executing strategies identified by the company, as well as standardizing and sharing best practices. The individual will need to continuously review and maintain these improvement programs to ensure that the division meets or exceeds the budgeted margin objectives for sales.
How you will thrive with us:
- Define a strategic direction for pricing to support business objectives; create and implement pricing and gross margin improvement initiatives for the division based on the division's goals and requirements.
- Review and assess pricing, profitability, and competitive trends; analyze substantial amounts of data using common tools; work with the company's pricing and margin director to maintain specific key performance indicators related to measuring and improving margin within the division, and measure results against the objectives set by the division management. Provide division management with statistics as needed and participate in developing reports that the division general manager presents during business meetings.
- Learn and understand the structure of data repositories and tables, how to organize, input, and extract data from the computer system.
- Systematically and proactively guide the organization in pricing leadership; ensure visible leadership in the approach and be open to change and continuous improvement in pricing and margin.
- Work with district, sales, and account managers on customer pricing assignment and review to ensure customers are correctly assigned. Assist all employees involved in sales to resolve any pricing issues that may arise. Also, work with division management and branch managers to identify sales opportunities.
Training:
Local and national pricing management training will be provided.
Who are you?
- A college degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 to 3 years of management or supervisory experience.
- A strong business sense to analyze financial reports and develop appropriate implementation strategies to meet/exceed financial plans and objectives.
- Strong communication, interaction, leadership, and training skills.
- Advanced level in Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Experience with AS400 and BI would be an asset.
